Lim Pei Sien is known for her aptitude to collaborate well with other musicians. She has
performed in recitals and music festivals in Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Austria and the USA
as a chamber musician as well as a soloist. Most recent performances included a solo piano
recital and a violin-piano recital, organized by the Brunei Music Society, in January and
February of 2016 respectively.
Pei Sien was an Assistant Professor at UCSI University from 2005 - 2013. She incorporated problem-based learning and Buzan mind mapping in her teaching to foster better learning outcome. As a clinician, she has given workshops and seminars to both piano teachers and the general audience, conducted piano masterclasses at universities in the region and the USA, and served as a guest examiner and adjudicated competitions.
Under the guidance of Dr. James Miltenberger, Pei Sien received her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from West Virginia University. She was granted scholarships and graduate assistantships throughout her studies at WVU. She was also a recipient of the Higher Education Resource Fund Top-Off Fellowship and was awarded the Outstanding Music Student Award by WVU Music Alumni Association.
Pei Sien currently resides in Brunei with her family.
