Assistant Professor Ysan Suit Yin is the Head of the Classical Music Degree at UCSI University and a dedicated educator with a strong focus on piano pedagogy. She holds distinguished teaching credentials including ATCL, LTCL, LRSM, and was among the first in Southeast Asia to earn the Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music in teaching. She also serves as an examiner for Trinity College London’s Classical & Jazz panel.
Suit Yin received her musical training in London, under prominent teachers such as Professor Vanessa Latarche, Professor Dr Colin Kingsley, Dennis Lee, and Toh Chee Hung. Exempted from undergraduate studies, she was offered a place with bursary for a Master’s degree at the London College of Music, where she studied with Professor Andrew Zolinsky. She is a regular adjudicator at major competitions, including the UCSI IPFC (since 2014), Asia International Piano Competition, the 2023 Chopin Memorial Prizes (Hong Kong), and the 2024 Elyon Music National Competition (Indonesia). She has also conducted masterclasses in Indonesia and China.

Malaysian Contemporary Composers Piano Festival. She had a joint recital with Mathias Boegner, a German/Swiss violinist at UCSI University and at SOTA recital hall in Singapore in 2023. Recently, she had a collaboration with clarinettist, David Shih-Wei Lin from Music National Chiayi University, Taiwan.
