Dr. Amanda Lee Hing is an accomplished pianist and a dedicated educator. She is currently the Assistant Music Department Chair and Professor of Piano at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in Texas, U.S.A. Her previous academic roles include faculty positions at Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania and Glenville State University in West Virginia.


Dr. Lee Hing has been appointed as the Artistic Director for the Waxahachie Symphony Association and holds positions on the boards of the Frisco and Dallas Music Teachers Associations. She had served as the Faculty Chair of the Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) Collegiate Chapters and Vice President of the Arlington Music Teachers Association.


Dr. Lee Hing has garnered numerous accolades, including winning the Piano Texas International Academy and Festival Teachers Concerto Competition (organized in collaboration with the Van Cliburn Foundation) and making her debut performance with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra as a soloist in 2007. In addition, Dr. Lee Hing was the winner of the West Virginia University Young Artist Concerto Competition, recognized as the WVU Outstanding Senior, and honored as the WVU Chancellor’s Scholar and a Southern Regional Education Board Doctoral Scholar.


Her commitment to music education is vividly reflected in her role as a presenter at the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) National Conferences and the TMTA State Conventions. She has also led the SAGU collegiate chapter to win the prestigious MTNA Benjamin Whitten Collegiate Chapter of the Year National Award. She holds D.M.A., M.M., B.M. from West Virginia University. Her teachers include Dr. James Miltenberger, Loo Bang Hean, Veronica Leong, and Josephine Lim.
