Lim Pei Sien is known for her aptitude to collaborate well with other musicians. She has performed in recitals and music festivals in Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Austria and the USA as a chamber musician as well as a soloist.


Born and raised in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Pei Sien currently resides in Brunei Darussalam with her family. She is a piano tutor and an accompanist at Jerudong International School. She has been involved in the school’s musical productions as a rehearsal pianist as well as a pianist in the pit band. She performs frequently in school and in concerts organized by the Brunei Music Society. As a clinician, she recently presented a virtual seminar on How to Make Practising Music Fun and Engaging for Children to a group of instrumental teachers.


Pei Sien was an Assistant Professor at UCSI University from 2005 – 2013. She was a former staff accompanist of Interlochen Arts Camp, Michigan and American Institute of Musical Studies, Graz.


Under the guidance of Dr. James Miltenberger and Dr. Connie Arrau Sturm, Pei Sien received her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from West Virginia University. She was granted scholarships and graduate assistantships throughout her studies at WVU. Pei Sien also won numerous accolades from WVU, notably the distinguished Higher Education Resource Fund Top-Off Fellowship and the Outstanding Music Student Award. Her former tutors were Ng Mei Fong, Tan Hui Ming and Lau Yin Ming.
