Armen Babakhanian

Armen Babakhanian has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras, working under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, Yuri Temirkanov, and Valery Gergiev, among many others. As a pianist, he was a prize winner for the Leeds, Van Cliburn, Guardian Dublin, William Kappell, Gina Bachauer, and the World Piano Competitions. His festival appearances include the Aspen, Interlochen, Santander, and Baalbec Music festivals.

Bobby Chen

Described by International Piano Magazine as: "...an armour-clad player of complete technique, a thinking musician, a natural Romantic.", Bobby Chen studied with Ruth Nye and Hamish Milne at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal Academy of Music, and burst on the scene in a British tour with Lord Yehudi Menuhin and the Warsaw Sinfonia, and a recital at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the South Bank Prokofiev Festival.

Celebrated American pianist, Dr Julie Bees, is a Professor of Piano and Director of the Konrad Wolff-Ilse Bing Chamber Music Endowment Award at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She is also a founding member of the Orfeo Trio, a traveling piano trio that has most recently given recitals and master classes across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Cheong Yew Choong holds his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate Degrees from West Virginia University (USA) under full scholarship and graduate assistantship. His teachers include Professor Dr Peter Amstutz and Professor Dr P’ng Tean Hwa. Despite hearing impairment, Yew Choong is a prizewinner of several competitions: Music Teachers National Association Collegiate Artist Piano Competition in the State of West Virginia, WVU’s Annual Young Artists Auditions and the VSA Arts’s International Young Soloists Award

Lee Yin Hwa

A native of Malaysia, Lee Yin Hwa, obtained his Bachelors and Masters from Western Illinois University, and a one-year post-graduate study at Boston University under the Dean’s scholarship. Yin Hwa was the 3rd prize winner at the 1st Brevard Music Festival piano competition in North Carolina, and concerto competition winner at Western Illinois University. Among his principal teachers include Professor Anthony Di Bonaventura, Professor Dr Michael Campbell, James Magsig, Rickie Oui and Serena Chow

Jaz Tan graduated from University of Western Ontario, Canada with a Master of Music degree under full scholarship and graduate assistantship. She specializes in piano, harp and aural skills education. She was formerly Assistant Professor, working as the Head of Classical Music Degree Program in UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur. She now works as adjunct lecturer coaching piano at the university. She is also appointed the branch manager of Rave Harps KL Centre, overseeing harp education in Klang Valley, Malaysia

Morag Yong was born in Kuching, Malaysia. She entered the Royal College of Music (RCM), London to study piano with Peter Element. After graduating with First Class and also obtaining the ARCM Teaching Diploma, Morag continued at RCM to obtain the Master of Music degree in Performance Studies. Whilst at college, she won numerous prizes including the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Prize for the most outstanding Graduation Recital. Her education in London has been made possible with the generous support of the Sarawak Foundation, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust and The Charles Napper Trust.

Cadis Lee Ying Jie

Cadis Lee Ying Jie graduated with Bachelor (Hons.) of Classical Music at UCSI University (Kuala Lumpur) under the tutelage of Morag Yong Ker Syn, where she majored in classical piano performance. An enthusiast of collaborative piano, she extensively collaborates with vocalists and instrumentalists. In 2014, Cadis took part in the Winter Journey Camp held in Hua Hin, Thailand. She had the opportunity to perform in the masterclass of world-renowned collaborative pianist Graham Johnson.

Hee jung Choi

Hee jung Choi, a Korean pianist residing in Malaysia, obtained her Master Degree from Western Illinois University where she was awarded with the Graduate Assistant Award. While at WIU, Hee Jung has won the concerto competition as a soloist one year and as a trio ensemble in the year after. Subsequently, she was admitted into the University of Iowa post-graduate program as a recipient of the prestigious John Simms Piano Award and Graduate Assistantship. Prior to that, Miss Choi also has extensive performing experience as a soloist as well as a chamber musician.

Ho Su Han is currently a lecturer at the UCSI Institute of Music where she also serves as the coordinator of chamber music ensemble. Su Han graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music, with a DMA in Collaborative Piano, as a student of Anita Pontremoli. A native of Johor, she previously obtained her BMus in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, where she studied piano under Dr Jason Tye Kong Chiang. Subsequently, she continued her graduate studies at the University of Houston and graduated with the degree of MM in Collaborative Piano under the tutelage of Timothy Hester

Ysan Suit Yin

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Assistant Professor Ysan Suit Yin is the Head of the Classical Music Degree of the Institute of Music at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur, a very dedicated teacher and has been actively teaching since 1986. She was one of the first in the South-East Asia to be awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music (Music in Education) by the Royal School of Music. Suit Yin received an exemption from the Bachelor’s Degree in Music, and a place was offered in London College of Music with partial bursary for the Master Degree in Performance.

Yong Sue Yi

Yong Sue Yi has received her Master of Music in Piano Performance from Peabody Conservatory of Music (USA) under the tutelage of Marian Hahn with full scholarship. She is the first Malaysian pianist graduating from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, with a BMus degree (Honours) in Piano Performance. She was awarded a full scholarship under the tutelage of Albert Tiu for her four-year studies in the Conservatory. Sue Yi has worked as a chamber musician under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Hecht, Katherine Jacobson Fleisher, David Takeno, Zhang Jin Min, and Keng-Yuan Tseng.
